2024 BISCAYNE BAY YACHT CLUB ANNUAL REGATTA NOTICE of RACE
Biscayne Bay Yacht Club invites boats of the Biscayne Bay Yacht Racing Association to participate in the 2024 Annual Sunburn Regatta.
Boats of classes active in BBYRA but not currently registered may enter by application to the Biscayne Bay Regatta Committee.
SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:
One Design: Saturday, April 27th, First warning 11:30.
PHRF and ARC: Sunday, April 28th, First warning 11:30.
Complementary Cuban Buffet and keg, BBYC starting 4:30, Sunday, April 28th.
Prize Giving: Sunday, April 28th, 5:30.
ENTRY:
One Design: Etchells and J/24 class boats not currently registered with BBYRA may be entered by application to the regatta committee. PHRF: Boats with a PHRF rating not currently registered with BBYRA may be entered by application to the regatta committee.Contact: [email protected]
RULES:
The Biscayne Bay Yacht Racing Association Championship Series, Notice of Race and Sailing Instructions, Sept 1, 2023 – August 31, 2024, as may be amended by the BBYC Regatta Committee, will apply.

I hereby request an invitation to enter the 2024 Annual Sunburn
Regatta, April 27
in a BBYRA One Design class, Etchells
or J-24, or
April 28 in a BBYRA Handicap class, PHRF. Current BBYRA membership is not required for participation in
this event.
WAIVER of LIABILITY
THIS DOCUMENT HAS
IMPORTANT LEGAL CONSEQUENCES. YOU SHOULD GET APPROPRIATE LEGAL OR OTHER ADVICE BEFORE
SIGNING IT.
1. I am the owner and recognize that sailing is an activity
that has an inherent risk of damage and injury associated
with it. I have read RRS 4, the Decision to Race and hereby acknowledge and I
agree that I am participating in this event entirely at my own risk.
2. I hereby waive any rights I may have to sue BBYC, the race organizers (organizing
authority, race committee, protest committee,
host club, sponsor, or any other organization or official) with respect to
personal injury, including death or disease, or property damage suffered
by myself because of my participation in this event and hereby release
the race organizers from any liability for such injury or damage to the fullest extent permitted by
law.
3. I have taken all necessary
steps to ensure that myself, the crew, and the entered boat are adequately prepared for all
possible contingencies, including appropriate safety equipment as may be required by law or that a prudent seaman would
consider advisable.
4. I understand
this document has important legal consequences and have consulted such legal and other advisors as I deem
appropriate before signing. I understand that by typing
